Explore Wellington’s rich music history on a stroll through the city with award-winning music writer Nick Bollinger 

Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes – and don’t forget to bring some water! 

Walk begins at Willis Street Hibernian Building and ends outside The Rogue & Vagabond

Meet your host: 

Nick Bollinger is a writer, broadcaster and critic, with a focus on music and social history. He has been a columnist for the Listener and the voice of Radio New Zealand’s The Sampler. His latest book, Jumping Sundays: The Rise and Fall of the Counterculture in Aotearoa New Zealand was awarded Best Illustrated Non-Fiction in the 2023 Ockham Book Awards. In 2023 he was the Lilburn Research Fellow, and he is currently working on a collection of essays about New Zealand music and national myths.
