Admissions changes at Space Place

Over the past 12 months, Space Place has seen several exciting changes take place; including a comprehensive upgrade of our planetarium kit with new 4k laser projectors, the refresh of our Tūhura module for tamariki, and a complete foyer redevelopment. We also have some exciting upgrades to our galleries rolling out in the coming months which we can’t wait to share with you.

We’ve worked to keep our admission prices as low as possible, however increases in costs, particularly around staff wages and our commitment to upskill and invest in delivering world class experiences, has led to the requirement for an increase in our admission prices.

We will continue to have two pricing options; General Admission which includes access to the galleries, a planetarium show and a live star talk, and the cheaper Gallery Only option. We continue to offer free entry for ages 0-3, a child price for ages 4-16, family bundles, concessions for gold card holders and students, and unlimited entry to Friends.

Admissions changes will come into effect on June 15 2024.
